Loss of reality 5.5
Attempt to portray irrationality, relevance and escapism. The latter is primarily defined by the (un) conscious refusal of social objectives and ideas for action. In media psychology, escapism is an important motive for media use. Art is still associated with it today. Peter Handke counters this accusation by emphasizing the utopian character of art, which, precisely because of its distance from reality, enables it to be changed. The exit as a form of protest or resistance against social, political or media constraints.

The series consciously opposes the modern, digitized world characterized by media ‘over-flow’. In a world that is misused by the media as a playground for manipulative mass hypnosis, I try to create an opposite pole. I use blurring as a stylistic device of relevance / priority, and with the additional strong contrast I achieve a ‘blurred’ image that only suggests reality – nothing can be clearly recognized. A few clear lines that only vaguely symbolize media, world and life events without recognizing any concrete content.
